Complaint form and checklists (new)

Ready to make your complaint but not sure what to write? We’ve created a custom form for people who invested in Shield and First Guardian to make it easier for you. You can submit the form to AFCA by email or mail, or you can use it as a guide to make your complaint using AFCA’s portal – whatever is easiest for you.  We’ve also put together some checklists to help you work out what information and documents you’ll need for your complaint and where to find them.

AFCA has also published an information pack which has pictures of example documents to help you look for what you need.

AFCA Complaint Navigator

Not sure what or who you can complain about to the AFCA? Use our complaint navigator tool to work out your options.

Look up a financial adviser or company

If you want to make a complaint to AFCA about a financial adviser, you have to lodge your complaint against the company that actually authorised that adviser. Sometimes it can be hard to work out who the right company is. This tool can help.

Use the lookup tool.

Successful complaints by other investors (new)

Other people who were invested in Shield and First Guardian have already made complaints and AFCA has awarded them money. Before making your complaint, you might find it helpful to read about other investors and the complaints they made.
